Trout nibbling!

Had the pleasure of fishing with retired professional fastballer Jim Dougherty and his lovely Mother Elaine! We stickbait fished specked trout up to 4lbs. Fishing was steady all day with a double header here and there. Plus three dink stripers to the mix. Fun day! Elaine was a dialed in fisher woman and look to whacking flounder and triggers with her in the future!! Thanks guys and Merry Christmas!!

Exotic animal

Aside from the sarcasm, this does ring true. Stripers just are not as prevalent as they were just a few years ago. Here is a nice rock we landed livebaiting the other morning with Richard. He was not scared to go. Last year he pulled a 50 out with me!

Trout tommy

Been still catching trout and nice fish! Casting artificials. Fished Thursday evening over to Mann's harbor to try to see if any rock around. No dice one nice fish on a eel and couple maybe hits on the jig. Still seems they are up the sound. So we have been trout whacking. Friday over 30 all nice fish, sat over 30 all nice fish , sun slower but we picked out a catch. All nice trout from 16-24 inches! Tried the highrise last night with couple buddies. Few schoolies working in the light line but no big fish for us on the eels. They have been catching them last few days we just had no tide. Thanks everyone for fishing. Should have a OI report Wednesday morning for ya.

In the meat today!!!

Great fishing today! The weather has still not let up. Still blowing a gale with rough ocean conditions. Fished yesterday at Mann's harbor with the kids and only had two bites. Rough and tough fishing. Proud of the kids fishing hard and never complaining. Today fishing picked up! Long time clients Bobby and Terrell landed a puppy drum a keeper striped and bunch of beautiful speckled trout! Thanks guys for a great day!

Tilefish

Chad called and asked if he could get me out on his boat for the day. Weather looked good so we went off the beach. We landed one nice yellowfin. We then found a new place loaded with tiles, seabass, and amberjack. We let go the jack and bass. Fun day of fishing and always nice to find new fishing spots.

Lets go fishing!

Been off the reservation. Went to mountains of Pa. Where no cell phones rattled for a few days. Saw some big deer, grouse, and tons of wildlife. We pulled the last minute Griswald move and drove up to Niagara Falls. Cool deal gotta see it. I think most of the Canadians were laughing at me because I was in shorts in the spitting snow. The locals joked me about my steeler coat. Got home after missing handful of bad weather days only to watch more bad weather move in. Matt slipped out couple days ago caught some nice sheepshead. Weather looks to chill out tomorrow setting up for a great weekend! Time to get back to it!!! Tossing up a few pics I needed to get up!! Thanks everyone!! Obx griswalds!!

Gone baby Gone!

Well hurricane Sandy came and now is gone. Everyone prepped moved boats and waited to see what would happen while we ate,had a few cocktails, and watched football. Rain, few downed trees, huge ocean swells, over wash and some flooding. Fishing was fantastic prior to the storm. Everything seemed to be biting. Hope we get back on em after water settles after a few more days. Finally got back outside today since things calmed down. Took the kids to play a while on the beach. All kinds of neat things washed up. Conchs, coral, sea clams, starfish, bottles, driftwood , horseshoe crabs, heck buddy Dave found a live 9 lb lobster that is now safe at the aquarium. They said at the aquarium it was over fifty years old. I hope everyone faired well and things are good!

Nice Bass!

We went wreck hopping looking for Sea Bass and Trigger fish. The fish were happy to play along. We could have caught more if would have pulled out the big spinning gear, but the eight and ten pound test was to much fun. One of the bass was a two ounce jig or a hand full of ice shy of 7lbs! Nice work guys. Thanks Capt.Ches
