Took a break from spring boat work to go try to catch a fish with some friends. Been a while since our last fishing trip so we were Jonesing to get out. We ended up with a bunch of trout kept five for a fried boatyard lunch today and released plenty! We also landed 12 or so baby stripers.

Tried the other afternoon with Thurman, Joe, and Birthday young man Cameron. Windy cold sleet then snow but fish were sluggish and we only landed one nice trout and one striper. Did get to see couple eagles! Still fun to try and thanks for the killer clams they were tasty!!

Couple days ago tried around oregon inlet to see if any stripers were biting arpund the bridge pilings. zilch. Fun day today with the Wong guys! We jigged up some beautiful seabass! We kept some for dinner and released plenty as well. We also landed tilefish as well. Glad to get back out fishing just wish there were more pretty weather days in the winter to get to these fish. Heard of a few bluefins south. Busted a coolant line on the boat yesterday off the beach and fixed her with that high temp radiator tape , neoprene and a clamp. Got us home. That stretchy high temp tape is great for lots of things so carry a roll in yer truck or ditch bag. Cheap at any auto parts store or at the oi fishing center
