No such thing as too much fun!

What an awesome week! It was a nice treat to have some long time locals fish this us! Thanks to Tim Willis & the guys, Dustin Carter, James & Derrick & of course John & Sharon Newbold. Made some new friends & was able to catch up with some old ones while enjoying the beautiful weather & catching several fish too! Lots of drum of all sizes hanging around & scattered cobia as well. The Carolina Blue found a new home this week at Wanchese Marina! We are so excited to be there! Big thanks to the Owens crowd & Len Gaskill for letting me crash their docks for a while! You guys rock!

So much cooler online!!!

I am not really cool in real life but did get my annual hair cut so least I don't look like joe dirt anymore! Still getting a bite or two!!  Fishing is not consistent I have no idea what's gonna happen and what the water is gonna do but we are gonna load up try hard and catch what comes our way in a fun laid back atmosphere!  Check out Jim catching a cobia sight casting off that stick of a pier in kitty hawk!  And it was on a meathog jig!!! And check out Finn with his nice gaffer and his gigantor 1 pound 12 ounce seamullet!!  Speaking of mullet did I tell ya, no more joe dirt, dang!  And if that young man bear hugging that cobia he caught with his Dad does show joy, not sure what does!!  Big schools of big reds covered us up today few miles southeast of Oregon inlet! Special thanks to all the support and all you guys for coming back and letting me talk your ear off in the tower!!!

Then Bob and Caleb and crew picked up my truck and met me at the inlet. Windy but we got a couple!  Caleb out spotted me 3 to two so I paid up 20 bucks!! Next day we got four with the Penland crew with a whopper 74lber!!! On the cobia skin rod, cobia hammer A gaffer to boot and a Floyd.  What's a Floyd you may ask well it's Floyd fishing not in the boat?!  Yesterday four cobia, one king, a big jack crevalle (good job Derrick)and one gaffer. Allen family, toughest family you will ever meet!! Today a cobia, shark, and four dolphinos!  With John treating his grandson for getting good grades in school!  Thanks everyone!!
