Recon obx fishing

Jr and I went off the path yesterday to some new various marsh points. Calm quiet not rough and some fish biting! Cb not afraid to try new spots and as you can tell looks terribly uncomfortable!

These guys fished four days ago around the inlet. Three buddies that get together from all over from the same platoon. Pretty cool stories fished hard but cold dirty water made fishing tough only a couple bites and one skate. Wump wump wump.

Bachelor guy goes obx fishing!

These guys came out couple evenings ago with me and fished hard. These guys came from all over as far as Jackson hole, Wyoming. To send there buddy off to the other side, marriage. Well cold front made fishing tough but we did finally find em. Nice puppy drum and a flounder. Saw them whirling around a marsh point and hit them for about an hour. No monsters but fun to bend the pole!

Trout first fish back in NC

Out this morning and we got our first fish casting jigs, a 15 inch speckled trout! And now a little striper.

Last trip

Out on Saturaday with Rob last day before heading home. Slick calm and overcast. Saw three tripletails but skittish and they spooked away. Right before heading in we saw a double, cobia and sailfish swimming around a turtle ( never seen that combo before) we got the cobia out of the deal and headed home! It was a great time down there met some really nice and excellent fisherman down there. But it is nice to be home! I guess some trout and puppy drum will be starting to show around here and hopefully some cobia in the next few weeks!

Tripletail today

After going five for six on the cobia and landing one 15 lb tripletail , the next day these guys wanted to just tripletail hunt and they were popping! Free swimmers, tucked under grass, 20, swimming around a lost barstool. Lots of action we kept our two per man limit and released more. These fish were in the 7-10 lb range. We then got a shot at a manta swimming by and got a bonus little cobia!

2013 Cobia time!

Well not yet, but coming soon to a area near you. I did some arm twisting and got my dad and cousin to go down to Florida for some fun fishing. It only took a few minutes to find some fish,we hook three up to 40lbs. Lots of fun on a trout rod! We were looking for the Triple tails mostly and found quite a few but turns out they are hard to keep hooked up. What a cool fish, hard fighting and sight casting.....perfect! Can't wait till they start showing up at home.

Cobia and tripletail

Saw six cobia today landed five released one. Bobby also got a nice 15 lb tripletail!! We also saw a one sailfish.
