Striper season open and Moby Amberjack!

Been back at it for the last few days and fishing yesterday was tough with just a few drum bites, throwback flounder, oyster toads, lizardfish, strange stingrays and a few more exotics. If it was not for the birds and whitewater splashing taylor blues on the light spinning then we would of been super struggling. Today the sound striper season opened so we fished around a little bit this morning for them and got four keepers to the boat. This fishing should improve as water temps start to fall. Afternoon we landed some blues then went to an inshore wreck which was loaded with false albacore and amberjack. We landed some nice fish and on the last drop hooked a boated and AJ that was entirely too large just under 80lbs. A 35lber pulls too hard as you guys that have been amberjack fishing with me know. So as you can imagine this one was mean. Thanks everyone for fishing and fishing with us!!! We are taking on all fall winter striper bookings now and we will have the 27' diesel at Oregon-Inlet and the 26' Carolina Blue up to Chesapeake Bay bridge tunnel starting late October. We are gonna do half, 3/4, and all day trips. Also the night light line fishing is a choice as well. The ridiculously large speckled trout fishing trips were great last winter so if you want calm fun fishing with a realistic chance to catch 6+lb specks then come on. There may also be a few spots left for April Destin Fla fishing as well. Thanks guys!
