Its been a great week of fishing. It was a slow start, waiting for the wind and the water temp to change. Finally everything started to work out great, the water was back up to 75, and the wind layed down.
Tuesday was a father-son fishing trip. Fishing was a little slow for us with the water being rough. We managed to make something happen. We ended the day with croakers, sea mullet, flounder, blues, sharks, and a great surprise of a pompano.
Wednesday was another father-son trip. I had the pleasure of fishing two days with Frank and his son Blake. We started off slow in the morning, with the water temp rising around noon. At that time we where able to make a great day with catching some trigger fish. Thanks to Capt Brandon,we where able to have a great trigger fish bite.
Saturday was a trip from Capt Ches. There was some crummy wheather last time Glen and his family fished with us but we made it happen for then this time. Glen his son, younger cousin and friend had a great day catching flounder. There was a lot of flounder giving us some none stop "flounder pounding" all afternoon.
Sunday was another great day. I was able to fish with some good friends of mine, Eric and Chris. We found some great trigger fishing. After we got enough for dinner, we decided to go look for a cobia. We didn't even get a mile from our trigger hole and there was our cobia. Unfortunately we where not able to land this fish. We picked up and headed east running towards a school of big red drum. They where busting on the top of the water everywhere. We all had a blast getting into them for about an hour.
I had so much fun with everyone, may we all have tight lines again Capt Matt
